Amcari Family Office

With a keen interest in current affairs and global politics from a young age, Lili graduated from university with a degree in International Relations and Middle East studies. This led her to opportunities within government in Israel, culminating with a role as leader and project manager of large projects in the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office.

Lili is currently a director of a real estate group with interests in multiple jurisdictions and holds a core role within the Family Office.

The skills and experience garnered by Lili during the earlier part of her career are now being applied in business and governance roles within the Family Office, where Lili is driving expansion in important growth areas.

Lili Halay

Marios qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) in the Assurance Department of a Big 4 firm in London and has more than 20 years’ experience in the professional and financial services market in the United Kingdom and Cyprus. 

Marios joined Amcari in January 2023, after acting as a Senior Partner for 11 years to a mid-sized Accounting and Audit firm in Cyprus, predominantly occupied in the provision of advisory, audit and tax compliance services to international clients across a variety of industries and sectors. 

At Amcari, Marios is responsible for overseeing the operational and administrative functions of the Family Office, including finance, third party management, compliance, risk control and investment management.

Marios Anastasi

Andrew joined Amcari in January 2023, having spent over 25 years as a trusted advisor to numerous international families, advising them on their complex personal, corporate and investment planning and structures. 

Andrew qualified as an attorney in South Africa in 1997, before moving to the UK in 1999 and requalifying as a solicitor. Prior to joining Amcari, Andrew worked for two international law firms in London, both as a lawyer as well as holding various key management roles. 

At Amcari, Andrew has responsibility for project and strategy formulation and management, including assessing legal and strategic planning and leading strategic initiatives in increasingly complex global environments.

Andrew Vergunst

Tracey is a seasoned finance professional with over 30 years of experience in the private client spheres.

She is responsible for the Family Office’s banking relationships, related due diligence and compliance matters, and the operational aspects of the Family Office’s financial investments.

Before joining Amcari in 2022, Tracey spent four years managing the Family Office of the founder and Chairman of a NASDAQ listed company. Prior to that, she was in banking for over 25 years, culminating with her role as Head of Private Clients Operational Management at a Swiss Private Bank’s offices in Gibraltar, where she also held seats on the bank’s Management Board and Risk Committee.

Tracey Bruce

Karl joined Amcari as Director of Finance in July 2022, bringing over 22 years of experience that he gained in various senior finance roles in the property investment, banking and audit sectors. He is a Certified Chartered Accountant with a BA Hons in Accounting.

Prior to joining Amcari, he worked as Head of Finance at The Hideaways Club and Financial Controller for the Gibraltar and Cyprus branches of Barclays Bank PLC.

In his past roles, Karl successfully led a number of projects, which varied in their nature from regulatory, tax and financial control. Karl has significant leadership and change management experience with multi-function teams in different locations.

Karl Barabich

Chris is a private client solicitor with experience in tax, trusts and company law. As General Counsel of Amcari, Chris is responsible for providing strategic legal advice on all aspects of the Family Office, as well as operational issues including corporate structuring, governance and investment-related legal matters.

Chris was previously based at Gibraltar’s largest law firm where he worked almost exclusively as part of a small team servicing the needs of a UHNW family and their associated trust structures. During this time, Chris served as a director of the group’s licensed treasury company.

Chris read Jurisprudence at Oriel College, Oxford University, and is a member of the Law Society and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Chris Buttigieg

Kerry joined Amcari in November 2022 from one of Gibraltar's leading Private Banks, where she was responsible for a portfolio of private, UHNW and institutional clients. 

During her 25-year career in banking, Kerry gained extensive experience in operational and client-facing roles, in a challenging and ever-changing financial and regulatory environment. 

At Amcari, Kerry combines her operational expertise and relationship management attributes as Banking & Operations Manager, working closely with banks and asset managers on all day-to-day financial matters.

Kerry Cawthorn

Anju is an experienced and motivated accountant, with a keen interest in business, finance and related topics. She is a fully qualified Management Accountant with a degree from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA, UK). Anju has worked across industry sectors and jurisdictions, giving her a breadth of valuable experience in accounting and finance. 

Before joining Amcari, Anju worked with a reputed fund administration company in Gibraltar and was part of their core team responsible for Net Asset Value calculations for investment funds. She was also responsible for accounting and reporting for investment management companies. 

At Amcari, Anju is an integral member of the finance team, with key accounting and reporting responsibilities for the various entities within the Group.

Anju Mahbubani

Lisa joined Amcari at the beginning of 2023. She is a well-grounded Legal PA and HR generalist with consideration in the area of People Management. Lisa is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development who studied units including Developing Professional Practice, Employment Law and Developing Coaching & Mentoring within Organisations. 

Lisa previously worked for law firms in Gibraltar and most recently worked, for over 10 years, for an entrepreneur as Office Manager, Director and Company Secretary.

Lisa Kirby

Bart graduated with a master’s degree in economics in 2017 and will complete his further qualification as a Chartered Controller and Executive Master of Finance & Control from the VU University in Amsterdam during 2023.

Bart joined Amcari in May 2023 after being involved in Finance & Control for six years in the largest municipalities in the Netherlands, fulfilling roles as executive secretary to a CFO and as financial controller.

At Amcari, Bart is involved in the overall finance and operations of the Family Office. Bart is responsible for internal controls, ad-hoc projects and the planning and control cycle.
